Do you like Twilight or do you hate it?

I like vampires, dont get me wrong, but I find Twilight is the most horrible excuse for a vampire book.

Now the vampires in the Vampire Chronicles - THOSE vampires I wouldn't mind hugging forever -w-

I mean, if I were to fall in love with a vampire, he'd have to be a ruthless, blood-sucking, selfish jerk with no care for humanity that could just decide to kill me on a whim :]

Twilight only sells so much because simple teenage girls relate to the dull and boring Bella.
And a hundred year old, flawless virgin vampire falls for her out of nowhere?
Bleh.
No offense to Twilight fans, btw.

I do agree with you on the Vampire Chronicles. Those are the vampires to cherish forever.
I like Twilight and everything, but it's popularity is getting ridiculous. Nobody even knew the book(s) existed until that silly movie came out.Oh and critics saying "Stephanie Meyer is the next queen of vampire literature next to Anne Rice." Now that I don't believe. XD

I read the whole series and at the time, I really liked them (not in a obsessive way). I had always loved vampires since I was a little kid, I know messed up, but anyways I was looking for some different books to read. I decided to read the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice and I fell in love with the series immediately. Stephanie Meyer is nothing compared to the magnificent writings of Anne Rice.

The movie is just a train wreck. Robert Pattinson doesn't shower and just party's all the time and epically fails at acting. And Kristen Stewart has a pretty face, but not a lot of talent to back it up. The only reason why I'm even going to New Moon is because Dakota Fanning is in it, and they have a new director so I'm giving it a chance. No offense to anyone this is just my personal opinion.

I don't think the actor that played Bella was at all pretty. She's too...plain looking.

Though I'll admit, I liked Lestat more in Interview with the Vampire, he seemed...more villanious.

I'm on book three now, which I need to finish once Im done writing my own book.
I'm glad I'm not the only one here that likes real vampires :D

I wouldn't know if I liked it or not, I have never read Twilight or watched the movies and I probably never will. My friend calls me a Twilight free virgin and says I should stay like that.

I've always liked vampires that hunt people at night for their blood and burst into flames as soon as they touched the sunlight.

I also don't like things that everyone else likes. It's annoying to hear of Twilight everywhere I go.

Not to mention that I already know everything that happens since one of my friends needs to talk to someone about it, at this point, I don't need to read it.

P.S. What bothers me about the series is the whole Jacob and Bellas daughter thing, it just screams pedophile and I honestly think the author felt the need to pair Jacob up with someone....anyone.

(See I told you that I knew some stuff without reading the books :P)

Arinayed I agree about Jacob imprinting on Bella's daughter. That's just plain wrong no matter how you put it. I think the fact that Edward and Bella actually get to have a kid and a family for eternity is just too predictable. It doesn't make things fun. lol

x3 I love Armand, though they ruine him with the movie every time I think of him I picture a boy looking young for his age with dust red hair...
Claudia was okay, but I didn't mind her dying :/

Nah, my book has a vampire in it but it has a little of everything in it. Vamps, Fallens, Angels, Demons...one demon actually kinda looks like Armand though I just now realized that.

And your right, Cala, it was all too predictable that Edward and Bella have a kid. WAY too predictable.
I'd like to see a sequel where Edward leaves her and the kid, and everything falls apart. Now THAT would be funny, but the fangirls would have a national angst day.

In my opinion, the whole series is a serious f*king waste of time.

The characters are Mary Sue's and Marty Stu's, the plot couldn't be worse, and the ending sucks majorly. ( Yes, I read it all, so I have reasons. ) ._.

The movie? Don't even get me started. I HATED THOSE ACTORS AND NOW.
Ffff. They're just hoars. :/

Personally, I think if you write about vampires you have no talent. Any 3rd grader with a pencil and a notepad can write a story about vampires and love. :I
