Hey guys, just a general announcement--not really an announcement, but something I feel needs to be brought to everyone's attention.

Hey guys. I know our admins have had issues with the comments automatically being disabled. When we get our new format we will not have that issue and I was relying on the idea that it would be done in February. But it has been delayed until further notice.

Anyways, if you have any content (songs, forums, etc.) that people can't comment on please feel free to private message me the links or comment on here and I'll fix them for you when I get a chance.

I've been using this site for a while, and I thought I knew how it worked.

Alright. Let me be completely honest, here:

Everyday that I come here, there is a freaking spam bot attack that I have to clean up. I'm sick of it.

I think we need a sweep of new admins, n00bs or not.

I want to know good members on this site. Who makes the best polls? Who makes the best forums? Who is the most reliable request forums? Who should be an admin? Who uploads the best metal, pop, or whatever.

Well, I don't know if any of the admins have noticed but we are getting way too many spam comments, lately. And I feel like I am the only one removing them. So I've decided that we need a new admin. Additionally, one of our currently active admins needs to be promoted to my status in order to block members who are spamming.

A while ago, Mel posted a forum saying we were no longer allowed to upload music by certain artists, and any music by these artists had to be taken down. Since then, Mel has said that this music is no longer banned, so we can upload whatever we want.

I've noticed that in the time I've been on this site, that there are a lot of spam comments on older posts on this site. But the thing that bothers me the most is the racial slurs on some of the hip hop music. This happened when non-members (note that most non-members were not this insensitive) were allowed to comment and I guess they just said things like that for shock value - I don't know. I need your help in finding these comments so I can either edit or delete them. If you have these comments on some of your songs, or see them, it would be much appreciated if you could tell me and the other admins about them. I will be looking for them, too.

Ok, I know some of you want to know how to make a track list, but you don't know how. This will be in a step by step process and I'll try to explain this as best as I can.

P.S. This isn't just for your own track list, you can use it for any music list as well.

01. You have to be a member. duh.

02. You have to have uploaded a song cause a track list wont work without a song.

03. Now that you are a member and have uploaded at least one song (preferably more), on the right side of the site you you will notice a list of blue links right above the poll/voting booth, which is under your ID name. Click on the Create Content.

04. You will now be led to the Create Content page. On this page you will be given a few choices. Click on the Forum Topic.

05. You will now be lead to a page titled "Submit forum topic". In the very first box, write down the tittle of your forum. In this case it will be " XXXXXX's Amazaballs Track List", though you can label it however you want. You need to pick what category the forum will be under, since this is a Track List, it should be under Music List. Aright now the big box is the most important one.

06. In the big box labeled "Body", this is where the magic happens. Right underneath that, you'll see a link that says More information about formatting options. Open it in either a new tab or window.

07. Now that you are on this page you will notice that there are some HTML tags to use. On the top of the gray box there are three categories that say "Tag Description, You Type, and You Get". The first tag/link under the second category that says "You Type", is the one you want.

Note: I can't show you the exact format on this forum since the site will automatically link it and then you wont be able to see it. If you've done everything I say though, you should know what it looks like now.

08. Copy it and past it into the body part of your track list. Simple enough. Right.

You're not done yet. That tag/link was used as an example and if you post your track list without changing it, it will look like this: Audio.isg.si. I'll explain how to do that in the next few steps.

09. Now you have to find a song that you have uploaded. Use another tab or window, that way your progress doesn't get lost.

10. Copy and past the URL of the song that you uploaded and put it between the " " signs, in the body part of your forum. Remember to get rid of the http://audio.isg.si/audiox that is already there.

11. To change the name of the link you have to delete the Audio.isg.si in the tag/link and put the name of the song that you are linking to.

12. Repeat it if you have more songs.

13. Submit

That's it my friends.

I would recommend hitting the preview button before submitting it to see how it looks.

You can always edit your track list that way you can add more songs and stuff.

It may seem like a lot of work, but trust me, once you figure it out, it'll be easy.

You can also just remember the link format which I can't post on here because of the site.

If you still have problems, comment and tell me. The point of this is to help those of you who don't know how to make links on this site and I will be glad to help. :D

I'm trying to get more specific on the genres of music on this site and I need your help. For example, right now we have "Hard Rock & Metal" but I want it to be more specific. I love Black Metal, Heavy Metal, Melodic Metal, etc which I'm adding. I need other examples. It would be a big help to me if you gave other examples of specific types of rap, rock, pop, or whatever.

Somebody please inform me on how to do this. I would really appreciate it.

If you see a red asterisk by your content I wanted to tell you something. The request forums and music lists used to be on the same topic. I didn't like that so I changed it. There seemed to be a lot of confusion about whether something was a request forum or music list. It used to say "Request Forums and Music Lists". I deleted the "and Music Lists" part and added it as a seperate forums topic. Subsequently, all the music lists were put as request forums. So I edited all of them to the music list topic.

HOW the heck can i make one of these "LISTS" i really wanna make one cauz i have SOOO much music that i want to put on this site but i cant make one how do i do it?

People have been nagging me left and right to make them Admins, so I'm going to make ONE to shut them up.

But, I need to find out who would be best for the job. I need ages, here people. And how often you are on this site (keep in mind not to lie to me because I can now track this stuff).

Okay. A while ago people told me I needed to make this forum, so here it is. What is it about? Spam! It's in the shoutbox, comments, forums and even songs - it's everywhere on this site. What happens to a comment/song/forum when it just doesn't show up? Most of the time, the spam blocker that Hexa put in this site blocked it. If this happens to you, please tell me so I can help you. I've looked at what is in the spam and I thought I'd share the things I have learned with you. Isn't that facinating??? No, it's not; I know.

The spam blocker blocks:

1. Double comments like:
1st comment: "I love this song!"
2nd comment: "I love this song!"
3rd comment: "I love this song!"
4th comment: "Oops. Triple post."

2. THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

3. This, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, ect. This happens on songs, too. Ex:

5. HELLO! HEY, GIRL! HOW ARE YOU DOING? I'M FINE! HOW ABOUT YOU???!!! OMG! I WENT TO THE MALL THE OTHER DAY, AND THIS GUY WAS ALL LIKE "HOW YOU DOIN'?" AND I WAS LIKE OMG HE IS SOO HOT!!!!! REALLY? OMG DID YOU GET HIS NUMBER? NO, BUT I THINK HE MIGHT BE THE ONE, YA KNOW?!!! OMG THAT IS SO INTERESTING! BUT, YOU LIKE HAVE A PROBLEM PUTTING YOURSELF OUT THERE, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? Also, please don't do that on the shout box! Most of the time, Admins have to delete it (and it's a pain in the ass!)...unless it's Punky. She's an Admin so she can do that.

8. Requests go only on request forums; not on the shout box, in forums or on songs! If you need to request a song, go here. This forum tells you all the places for requests. And like Kira_120 says, you are more likely to get a reply if you do use a request forum.

11. Messing up the layout of the site in any way shape or form. This can be forums, content, screen names or the shout-box. The site was given this layout for a reason, please don't be a jerk about it.

First off, this is not a request thread. But I thought it would be a good idea to show the people where you can request music. There are a lot of request forums on this site, but most of the people that have put them up are no longer active or just aren't taking requests. I will tell you in the description if they aren't active or when their last upload was (if it doesn't link to the thread, assume that it is not active). And it's usually never a good idea to request on a song because, frankly, most of the users on here don't get on this site anymore. Either that or they don't do requests.
